Another excellent episode!

An interesting consideration are recent experiments where light waves were excited to travel faster than light such that the beam of light exited the control chamber before it finished entering. Does this mean then that information can be sent backwards in time - hmmmm.

Keep it up - I am listening!

Regarding what "protects" time from being corrupted by impossible time travel, I would say logic is the "force", or maybe it's a kind of "law of nature", that protects time from being damaged or "weirded", if there is such a word (if not, I just invented it ;D). Personally I believe the past can only be viewed through echoes, and there is no real future, only branching and intersecting possibilities. The only real time is now. Just my two cents on the subject.

I don't think you understand the fine tuning evidence problem. In your example of the firing squad, there is no choice: either you're dead and you cannot observe the result, or you're alive and you can observe the (surprising) result. If the probability to be alive is not exactly zero, being alive can be explained without refering to miracles.

It seems that you're looking for a cause for statistical results.
